Pianist Phạm Hồng Hạnh – Solo Piano Performance and Pedagogy
Pianist Pham Hong Hanh is a professional solo pianist who was born in Hanoi, Vietnam, in 1970. Her studies include eight years at Ho Chi Minh conservatory, six years in Moscow where she study at the world renown Gnhesin Russian Academy of Music obtaining a Bachelor of Art Degree in 1995. She also studied in Montreal, Canada, at the prestigious McGill University where she obtained her Master of Music Degree in 2001. She has taught at the Ho Chi Minh City Music Conservatory in Vietnam during 1995-1999. She later moved to the United States where she became music director and piano instructor of Agape Music Centre in Rosemead city, CA. Hong Hanh is presently residing in Fountain Valley, California where she teaches privately and cooperates with other music schools as Little Saigon Music Academy and California Music Studios. She is an active member and a director of Music Teacher’s Association of California Orange County West branch.. She has performed as a concert pianist and accompanist in Russia, Vietnam, Canada and the United States. Her last performance was at the Richard and Karen Carpenter Center in Long Beach, California, October 06, where she played several pieces during the East Meets West Concert for the Lac Hong performing arts group.
